The Connect Program
While I have experience in many areas, my genuine passion is working with seniors. I discovered my love for seniors when I was just 16 years old and worked as a receptionist in a nursing home. I found myself going to work early and staying late just to sit and chat with the residents. I loved hearing their stories and learning from their experiences.
I have provided counselling and support to seniors for many years addressing issues of grief, loss, depression, anxiety, and challenges that arise while transitioning into Retirement living and long-term care. I have facilitated resident and advisory councils as well as spousal support groups. I am also a certified long term care administrator.
This year has been a very difficult one for many of us. COVID-19 has changed how we interact with each other. I am currently offering counselling and support to seniors in independent/assisted living, retirement home and long-term care settings.

The “Adopt-a-grandparent” Program
High-School students connect weekly with a senior to share stories and laugh together. Not only does this benefit the emotional well-being of seniors, it also teaches students the importance of connection and provides education about days long past. Please contact me for more information.
